Who is "you people"? Did you buy directly from iRobot rather than a retailer (which would have been cheaper, by the way).

FWIW, I would chalk this up as a fluke. I had my Roomba for a year and it got one problem - I called iRobot and they just sent me a new one. No problems since.

Found this post while searching for '"Document explorer" sucks' on Google. What a resource hog. I watched as I was shutting it down and it was pegging out at 79% cpu for about a minute before it finally went away. What a big load of dog turds. Give me back my 2k3 style help! Bastards!

Hi!

I was searching the blogs - researching for my daily podcast at http://www.sswug.org/sswugradio - and I came across your post.

Did you know that NYC just had a huge Code Camp not even two months ago?

http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/paul/archive/2006/02/25/135615.aspx

I was just at the MS office in NYC last Thursday and they had over 100 people in attendance for the local .Net User Group mtg??

North Jersey just started a new SQL Server User Group.

http://www.njsql.org/

Send me an email and I can get you more resources.

Have a good day,

Looking over the list of code camps, the New York metro area seems to be keeping up. We had a code camp in NJ (Oct. 05), NYC (Feb. 06), and have a code camp scheduled for NJ (Jun 06). I'm involved with 5 user groups that are all thriving. Maybe you're just fed up with the crappy winters?

I've found that nothing makes a team jell as fast as agile done well. The higher level of communication and reflection provide space for the team to pull together, deal with conflict, etc., provided that the team leader is good at facilitating healthy group interation.

Actually, Microsoft does have one trial setup availble that I know of. I wrote about it here: http://www.simpleviews.net/archives/101

It's an environment to try CRM 3 out. The down side is that you need to dedicate a fair amount of RAM to the VM.

Definitely 1, 3 and 4. Coding at a low level? Sometimes useful, but the payoff is rarely there anymore.

Thanks for sharing this. I have bookmarked it. I am interested in the other way around - calling a COM component with WCF. I have seen some examples with COM+ component. How about if I have a legacy component with STA model? Can you share some insight on this.

Thanks.
